The FT890 has a one-piece quarter package boot and is crafted out of RFM composite, an NHL caliber lightweight material. The RFM composite has a carbon blend that is engineered for the modern skater with quick strides looking for speed without restriction. The carbon composite wraps under the boot and because of this, energy is no longer lost or absorbed by a glued and nailed outsole but instead is now transferred directly through the boot to the ice.

 

The ADPT comfort tongue with a molded foam core wraps around your foot perfectly for superior on-ice fit and comfort. The FlexMotion design provides molded lace-bite protection for the perfect combination of fit and performance. 

 

Passed down from the top two models are the Memory Foam pads in the ankle. The multi-density foam pads wrap anatomically around your foot for a comfortable and snug interior. The TotalDri Pro liner inside the skate helps resist abrasions with superior odor protection. 

 

Found inside the boot is a molded Ortholite footbed. This is a streamlined approach to the footbed that will save weight in key areas to make the skate lighter. In addition, it’s going to add comfort for the bottom of the foot and is built to release moisture out of the bottom of the boot.

 

Rounding out this skate is the Speedblade XS Holder. CCM has improved their spring-lock system to create the SpeedBlade Xchange System; a positive-lock mechanism that tightly secures the blade to the holder and makes swapping out blades more efficient. The runner is STEP Steel (SR & INT), a high-quality steel with increased height and 3mm thickness, giving you better edge control. On the Junior skates you will find the XS1 Pro Stainless Steel runner.
